The Separation Wall

In repose to the second intifada, the Israeli government built a wall to separate the West Bank from Israel. However, 85% of the wall was built inside the West Bank, and has laid the groundwork for the de-facto annexation of most of the settlements, as well as more land for their future expansion. The Wall broke up contiguous Palestinian urban and rural blocs, severing inter-community ties that were forged over generations.
