The 2026 series closes with Put Your Soul on Your Hand and Walk from Iranian director Sepideh Farsi: Through 200+ days of video calls and digital exchanges with Fatma Hassona, a 25-year-old Palestinian photojournalist living in Gaza, the filmmaker captures her firsthand perspective of life under bombardment.
Put Your Soul on Your Hand and Walk was selected by ACID (Association for the Distribution of Independent Cinema) for screening at the Cannes Film Festival on April 15, 2025. Tragically, the next day, April 16, 2025, Fatma and several members of her family were killed by a targeted Israeli missile strike on their home.
